NOTE: this is a work-in-progress area for collecting information about glitches with Shrines. It will eventually become an article, but not yet.

Link collection: rebi 2020-05-27 "Theres a small cube surrounding every shrine that keeps the shrine active. You can activate the shrine and leave this cube and depending on the timing you can get 2 results. 1. Shrine is lit, portal is invisible but still active, so you can still enter the invisible circle and begin the cutscene. The benefit of this is you can keep the shrine active while you're outside of the cube. You can set up certain tricks like pulling a carpet into PD HL, or you can activate the shrine early in UG to set up a WM attack at the shrine, or set up the active shrine to pull the ancestors into tower HL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-97b9pTnFiQ 2. Portal is lit but inactive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--HadwCuum8"

The main benefit of breaking the shrine (activating the light after watching the HL) is it prevents connecting with a companion for the current level, in case you want to explore or practice Fancy flying solo. This should be verified for PC.

At the discord in glitching channel at that date are some images too (Rebi told me its ok to take his images and help for the wiki <3) Ravingmadness (talk) 13:21, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

Broadly speaking, a glitch is where something in the game does something it wasn't meant to. We do not distinguish between a "wanted Glitch" and actual bugs.
